Loneliness Stinks

Let’s be clear…there is nothing funny about loneliness so let’s not make light of it. Bottom line… loneliness stinks! In fact CBS News reports that Americans are lonelier now than ever before and younger Americans are hardest hit by this epidemic. They site the fact that only half of Americans say they have meaningful in-person social interactions on a daily basis, such as having an extended conversation with a friend or spending time with family members [full article here]. The key phrases are “in-person social interactions,” and “extended conversation.”

Since we are the makers of The Original TUNG Brush we like to look at things through the world of hygiene. When evaluating which activities to do with others that will cure loneliness, ask yourself the following questions:

Do you need to brush your tongue before?

  • Playing a video game?
  • Texting a friend?
  • Watching an episode of Game of Thrones?
  • Having a chat on the phone?

If you answered no to any of these questions then maybe they aren’t the kind of loneliness killing activities you’re looking for. After all, they don’t involve other people actually being in the same room with you! They are not “in person social interactions.”

Now ask yourself…

Do you need to brush your tongue before:

  • Checking out the new club downtown with a friend?
  • Meeting with friends at a house warming party?
  • Hanging out with a couple of friends at home watching Game of Thrones?
  • Taking a friend to see a new movie?
  • Going to dinner with family (ok so family can put up with your “not so great” breath so no need to answer this one)?

If you answered yes to these questions then you would be on track to brush away the loneliness in your life! Yippee!

At the end of the day, we need people and we need to be the best we can be with them. People give us energy, acceptance and engagement. One solution for loneliness is, simply put, spending time with other people. Being able to show up for them in a way where we can be fully present and wholly unselfconscious—the best version of ourselves—can be easiest to achieve with a few simple steps of preparation, like making sure we don’t have bad breath to worry about.

So brush your tongue and be your best! Reach out to a friend you haven’t seen in awhile and set up an outing today. Take a chance on asking a coworker to do something with you that you both enjoy outside of work.

And remember, “Loneliness Stinks” but you don’t have to! TUNG Brush is here to make sure of that! The rest is up to you!

Here’s what some Tung Brush users have to say about their breath!

Wow, I am blown away by this! I was definitely skeptical because all these super hyped products never seem to work for me, but here we go… my tongue has never been the perfect shade of pink and when my ice tea addiction started about 2 years ago it just got worse. So now, after a several year long (and going strong!) iced tea problem, my tongue has been straight up brown – YUCK! Honestly it was so gross; I was so embarrassed and self conscious about it. Enter the TUNG Brush & Gel Starter Pack. I used it for the first, but certainly not the last time this morning and after just 30 seconds of gentle scrubbing my tongue looks exactly how a tongue should look!

Despite being fastidious with oral hygiene (yes, I even floss daily), the one insurmountable obstacle for me has always been a clean looking pink tongue. My tongue has always had a whitish or yellowish coloring to it. I’ve tried several different tongue scrapers and while they removed any funky smells and made my tongue feel cleaner, they never removed the discoloration. The TUNG brush has fixed all of that and I’m thrilled! My tongue is now an even shade of healthy pink after using this product. I do occasionally get some residue from eating dairy products but one quick use of the Tung brush and it’s all gone.
